Background

Rowan Parry is a software engineer at the Department of Medical Informatics at the Erasmus MC. He holds a BA in China Studies from Leiden University, an MA in China Studies from the University of Oslo, and in 2020 he obtained a PhD from the University of Amsterdam, where he wrote a dissertation on independent Chinese cinema.

Rowan has been working as a software engineer for longer than he would like to admit and joined the BioSemantics group at EMC in 2020, to work on the eTransafe project, in which he designs software to be used in translational drug safety research.
