Background

Maria de Ridder is statistician working in the Department of Medical Informatics of the Erasmus MC, the Netherlands. She obtained the diploma Statistician of  the Dutch Society of Statistics and Operations Research and an MSc in Clinical Epidemiology. The topic of her PhD thesis was prediction models for growth studies. From her job, first at the Department of Biostatistics, she has a wide experience of analysing clinical and epidemiological studies, as well as advising in design and assimilating results. She collaborated in several multi-database studies in which she was involved in several aspects: design, planning of statistical analyses, converting input data to analysis data, writing analysis code to be run at different sites, conduct analyses, combining analysis results with meta-analysis, reporting of results and conclusions. She is also one of the methodologists in the Medical research Ethics Committees United.
