Sumiya is a Data Scientist within the DARWIN EU® team. She obtained her PhD in Cognitive Computational Neurosciences at the Spinoza Centre for Neuroimaging. Her PhD research focused on investigating how visual attention alters visual processing in the human brain using computational modelling and ultra-high field (7 Tesla) MRI. She obtained dual Masters degrees in Neuroscience from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and the Université de Bordeaux. Her Bachelors was in Biology and Psychology from Carleton University.
